Hi:
I've checked the dsmsched.log and there are no entries as you describe.
We run the schedular as a NT process. I'm wondering if it needs to be stopped
and restarted to pick up changes in the backup clients dsm.opt file.

when you schedule pre- and postcommands you can see the return code in
DSMSCHED.LOG:
