ADSM mirroring, in my experience, is easy, painless, efficient, and the way
to go.
As far as collocation, we collocate the onsite tapes, but not the offsite.
And non-collocated tapes, in my MVS world with 3490 tapes, is a huge pain
on big restores.

ADSMers: Regarding mirroring of ADSM database and recovery log.
Which method is better ADSM mirroring or hardware
mirroring.
Why?
Also any thoughts on collocation?
Thanks in
