Perhaps this message will serve as the final answer to this question.

Through a source, let's just call him Deep Throat for now, I've learned that
Tivoli Storage Manager (since I got this message, I should honor their
wishes) code releases will be made available on the ftp site.  These will
continue to be the non-licensed versions as we've all come to know and love.
Deep Throat suggests the 3.7 kit will be available within the next couple of
weeks.  The PTFs that are there now are useful, except for the AIX version
which requires the full release of 3.7.  Apparently the rest will function
and can essentially be used for trial purposes.

I just looked at the site:

ftp://service.boulder.ibm.com/storage/tivoli-storage-management/maintenance/
server/v3r7/

and found PTFs for AIX, HP-UX, MVS-OS390 and Solaris.  Nothing there yet for
NT or the rest.

I'm sure the usual caveats apply to this message.  Perhaps it's correct and
perhaps not.  Let't hope that it is.  We'll know the truth in a couple of
weeks.
