There is information on this very subject on the Tivoli web site.  The new
connect agent for version 5 would appear to look and see whether there have
been any changes to the database and of they are small (ie. no commited
changes to the database)then backup the transaction log only.     It does
not appear to backup the databases at the document level, as is the case
with the version 4 connect agent.  I never found the Connect Agent for v4
on AIX to be of much use as it does not backup folder information
(rendering it pretty useless in a mail environment).  What are your
experiences?
