The problems with label libv were in the ADSM code - these were sorted some
time back.

Comparing a 3494 with a Qualstar 4xxxx means you can't be considering a very
big 3494. Its horses for courses here. If you need something bigger than a
Qualstar but cheaper than a 3494 then try ADIC Scalar 1000 or their bigger
machines. They will house the 3590 drives that IBM use in the 3494 amongst
other media formats (we use AIT).
