I assume what you are saying is you need the ability to restore your oracle
db to any point in the time during the last 10 days.  In that case, you are
right, you will need a backup copy group with verexists and retain extra
each set to 10.  You can use the Oracle Agent to avoid having to do a full
backup each day.  The agent allows for the capture of the transaction log.
You would do some periodic full separated by these log backups.

As for you need to periodically archive the database (I changed your
requirement for keeping a monthly and yearly full backup to archive), you
can use the archive function to snap a copy of the database.  I encourage
folks archiving databases to dump their database to text before performing
the archive.  It will ensure your ability to actually use the archive into
the future.  Capturing the binary doesn't make a lot of sense.

Using backup stg you can get a copy to the offsite. You don't need to do a
"full" backup of a storage pool everyday.  ADSM ensures you will have "full"
in the copy storage pool.
