ADSTAR(TM) Distributed Storage Manager Version 3.1 (in the following we call it
simply ADSM), was made available in 1997 and is a solution for distributed data
management in an enterprise network environment. ADSM supports a wide
variety of platforms for both small and large systems, and delivers a lot of
data
management functions, as for example data backup, data archival, space
management or disaster recovery integrated in one software solution. With it?s
strong enterprise administration feature it is well suited to be a total
solution for
the complex enterprise environments.

ADSM has been rebranded to Tivoli ADSM this year and is now the base for the
new Tivoli Storage Manager Version 3.7, which is the kernel of Tivoli?s Storage
Management product set.
