You can create a snapshot in time of a filespace using the new feature in
Tivoli Storage Manager 3.7 (I am such a good listener).  The snapshot is
essentially an archive, but the data is not in a pool, but rather on
sequential media managed by ADSM. A follow on release will tie this archive
into storage pools and archive copy groups.  I don't know the syntax as I've
not investigated this yet, but I'm sure the readme for the latest release
will have sufficient details.
