Bob,
usually it's no problem to kill ADSM processes during backup time. All files
processed are save and everything else gets backed up in your next session.
With NT (Workstation and Server) you can install the ADSM client to run as a
service using the DSMCUTIL.EXE utility. As a system administrator you can
issue the following command after having defined node and schedule in the
ADSM server:
(CD into the ADSM baclient directory)
dsmcutil INST /NAME:"ADSM Scheduler Service" /PASSWORD:xxxxx /AUTOSTART:YES
