Can anyone explain the reason for this?

Some, or perhaps only this command ?, generate two entries in the server
atlog..

adsm> delete volume ORA224

atlog: 09/16/99   17:50:27      ANR2017I Administrator TOM issued command:
                                 DELETE VOLUME ORA224
       09/16/99   17:50:29      ANR2017I Administrator TOM issued command:
                                 DELETE VOLUME ORA224


Server is AIX, 3.2.1.40

Not a big problem this.. but after waiting for two days for IBM to mail me
the latest 3590-microcode, I just had to find something else to be annoyed
about...
