On HP/UX, for SCSI libraries (the autochanger component) the device driver
must be bound to the device (special files will not be built at boot time
automatically, unlike disk and tape devices). Two options exist here
depending on the SCSI bus type:

For attachment to the HP-PB bus, the SPT0 driver must be used. Kernel
parameters are used to bind the device to the driver (on 10.20, not sure
exactly how this works on 11.0 since it has a dynamic kernel structure).

For attachment to the HSC bus, the SCHGR driver is used. Again, the kernel
parameter can be used or an IOSCAN -M command can be used.

Note that for both options, the kernel must be configured to include the
appropriate drivers. Talk to your HP/UX system administrator.
