Josh,
Regarding the earlier issue of one large vs. many smaller disk volumes per
storage pool. I believe that the conclusion was that one large volume would
allow only one client to backup at a time. Whereas, many smaller disk
volumes
per storage pool would allow many clients to backup simultaneously because
of
multi-threading.
I talked to some friends of mine at SupportLine. They were surprised by the
direction of the discussion. ADSM Version 3 is multi-threaded whether or not
there is one large volume in the storage pool or whether there are many
smaller
volumes in the storage pool. Finally, the number of simultaneous clients is
not
dependent upon the number of volumes in the disk storage pool.
Hope this helps.
