Neil,

I work with few customers using AIT1. I am not sure that AIT2 is yet supported
by ADSM. Just now, I have some problems with configure AIT2 to Solaris running
ADSM. I was recommended to configure the AIT2 as AIT1 until the next version
of ADSM / TSM. I usually use Qualstar library, and I have only good things to
say about the AIT technology as well as the libraries. I hardly run into I/O
error on the tapes, with DLT7000 and DLT4000I experienced many I/O errors. The
AIT load time is faster.

I checked the ADIC web site last week as well as the ADSM supported device
list, I couldn't find the ADIC AIT libraries as supported device. I
specifically checked the SCALAR 1000 (which is supported with the DLT drives).
I'm sure it will be supported soon as well as the AIT2.

I recommend you to read the comparison between DLT and AIT, I'm sure you will
find AIT very interesting.
