It ends up being the ADSM API acting as the "Client" with a frontend of one
of
those software packages below.  Please understand that one must still follow
the API setup according to...

outside of any of the software packages below.
Keys things are...

ENV VARS...
DSMI_DIR - set to full path dir that contains dsm.sys (among other things)
DSMI_CONFIG - set to full path of dsm.opt
Options....
nodename
server address (tcp or otherwise)

Then setup scripts accordingly.  A good idea is to download a B/A Client to
check
connectivity between ADSM cli./svr. before running Informix Backup scripts.
