Hello everyone. Yesterday, a PMR for a BUF006 problem we have been
experiencing was closed even when our problem was not resolve. This is
in anticipation that the fix will be available within 6-8 weeks per
ADSM.
Last night, our backup aborted again due to a BUF043 error. This error
entry
is found in the dsmserv.err file. The following is a grep of BUF from
the
dsmserv.err file which shows how many times in the past our server
crashed:

05/12/1999 23:58:03 ANR7837S Internal error BUF043 detected.
07/28/1999 00:24:00 ANR7837S Internal error BUF006 detected.
07/28/1999 01:14:38 ANR7837S Internal error BUF006 detected.
08/01/1999 11:56:12 ANR7837S Internal error BUF006 detected.
08/09/1999 20:31:40 ANR7837S Internal error BUF006 detected.
08/26/1999 23:06:21 ANR7837S Internal error BUF043 detected.

We have tuned our TCP/IP, increased memory buffer many times but to no
avail.

Our server is at 3.1.2.20. I am reluctant to install 3.1.2.40 because of
the
numerous problem reported in the LIST.

If you have experienced same and perhaps know the work around, please
share. Until then, I just have to wait for the fix (APAR IY00869 -
3.1.2.42) and
hope it works.

Angel
