Mutex error causing ADSM services to stop on NT

Has anyone experienced a problem with the NT Version 4 SP4 and ADSM server
3.1.2.20
where the services stop and the event viewer shows the following error:

ADSM Server Diagnostic: ANR9999D: Thread 84 (TID 78):
pkAcquireMutex error, object 1: Mutex object already held.


It is happening on random days during the nightly backups on on almost all
our ADSM servers
which backup desktop clients, about 2600 clients per server. The ADSM
servers which backup
Netware clients are not effected. I believe that it is NT that has the
problem and it's related to
the volume of backups. we have max sessions set to 25-30.


I'm thinking that this all started when NT sp4 was added to the ADSM
servers.
