Alexandre,
As Richard pointed out, there are no SCSI packets going over the Ethernet.
The LAN connection is strictly for Library communications - control of the
robot. All of the drive control and data path goes through the SCSI
connections to your drives.
You must follow the directions from Brian on adding the IP address to your
3494 LAN host list.
ADSM should not be crashing even if this is set up incorrectly, however.
You can get the information on how to set the configuration up (not
including the ADSM portion) from the IBM-scsi_tape_IUG at
ftp://service.boulder.ibm.com/storage/devdrvr/
in both Acrobat and PostScript format.
That document also contains the syntax diagram for lbtest, which will help
you solve your problem outside of ADSM but using adsmscsi.sys. I use this
as a troubleshooting tool before trying to configure in ADSM.
