Steve,
I noticed on the adsm-l you said your database is 56 GB's. Are you using
raw volumes?
The reason I ask is because my database is only 8 GB's and when I had to
recover my server (twice) it took over 6 hours to format the disk and
restore. We are currently using VxFS and I have been thinking about
switching to raw to see if there is a performance improvement.

That should be 4 drives in each 3575-L12 for a total of 8 drives. I also
use a DLT4700 (1 DLT4000, 7 tapes) for my DBBackups. My DB is 56GB
assigned, with 75% in use.
