It sounds like a bad tape to me.
But then, I have seen write
errors on tapes that where caused by cancelling storage pool reclamation. This
will give you read errors when you get to that spot on the tape.
We are using AIT tapes and we have reused those tapes without
any problems.

Hi all,
i do a move data on a
DLTIV Tape with dlt7000 drive
and i have found following error:
ANR9999D pvrgts.c(4273): Invalid block header read
from volume B0034. (magic=8285, ver=1, Hdr
blk=248120 <expected 248121>, db=262128
<262144,262144,0>) ANR1146W Move data process terminated for volume
B0034 - excessive read errors encountered.
I can restore this volume from my
copypool.
My question is can i reuse this volume
when hi goes scratch
or is this tape physical damaged ???
