Dears,
I'm blocked with some 230 SunSolaris/SunOS machines because various
clients and variuos versions (sunOS 4.14, SunSol 2.5, 2.5.1, 2.6) seems
unable to recognize what's local and what is NFS/Auto/LOFS-mounted.
Basically all these clients seem unable to do what "find <dir> -xdev"
does!
Specifically the client 3.1.06 (Solaris 2.6) seems to backup everything
NFS-mounted. And so after 2 days it backup up, about 120 GB under the "/"
with 5,000,000 files (!) when the root only is 500 MBytes in size! This
is one of two-nodes cluster and it backed up FSs that the cluster monitor
mounts from time to time under:
/etc/opt/SUNWcluster/conf/hanfs/.nfs_probe/mountpoints/<log-names>/...
Knowing that this NFS problems are on all the clients & versions, I
wander if anybody is seriuosly looking at them?
Again:
Looking at the version 3.1.07 for SunSol 2.6 I found this to fixes'
descriptions:
IC23243 - AUTOMOUNTED FILESYSTEMS GET BACKED UP WHEN IT IS
MOUNTED AFTER THE GETMOUNTLIST IS CALLED.
DOMAIN IS SET TO ALL-LOCAL.
IC23865 - Local filesystem excluded erranously because it's
handled as automounted FS
although looking a bit contradictory, I'd like to read more about them.
Does anybody know where can I find more information?
Thank you
Yours, Mauro TINELLI
