Ofcourse, I intentionally wanted a blank database. If you're trying to
recover the adsm server then you need to be doing a dsmserv restore db
first.

I recently did this with WinNT. I brought up the server in console
mode (it starts under the id server_console). Once started I issued the
register admin admin admin command.

Subject: ADSM Server Recovery - Administrator ID Not
Recognized
Greetings All,
I am in the process of recovering an ADSM Server and have
already recreated
(DSMFMT) and installed (DSMSERV FORMAT) all ADSM Server
database and log
volumes and started the ADSM Server. However, when I
attempt to login to
ADSM's command line interface as ADMIN, I get the ANS8034E
and ANS8023E
errors (see below).
All ADSM Server files - as well as AIX 4.3 - was recovered
from the latest
mksysb backup.
Any support on this matter will be greatly appreciated.
