This is an operating system command, not a flag. Check the manual page for
ulimit. Chances are if you are doing your backups
as root this won't be a problem. Try 'ulimit -a' to see what the current limits
are, the problem one is probably the file one.

Try the address  index.storsys.ibm.com/adsm/fixes/v3r1/   from an ftp client.
I've had problems trying to download files from this area
with IE/Netscape.If you  want a fairly good free GUI ftp client for Windows,
try http://www.smartftp.com/. Failing that an ordinary command
line ftp is just as good.
