Hi Laura,
The problem you 've just encountered is knew by STK support and they
are working on it :
9714 STK (firmware 1.9.52) with 6 drives DLT has the following problem
: when you power down and power up the robot (no tape in drive) , adsm
want to check all the drives and he doesn't check the sixth ! So as the
drive is blinking green, adsm cannot "speak" with it and it put it in
offline mode !!
NB : people are using Netbackup have the same pb !!
The only solution i know is -before run adsm- power up the robot and
after the IPL was completed, open the drive and re-initialize the sixth
drive manually (push on the shuttle which is black and wait for a bip
and green led stop blinking and after, push another time on the shuttle
black) Then run adsm and all is ok.
