I'm using buta to dump my AFS cell through ADSM (on AIX 4.2; ADSM 3.1.20).
There's one 3.7GB volume in the cell - it's taking *forever* (5 hours) to
dump direct to (DLT) tape.

I can't see where the holdup is - it doesn't _appear_ to be the AFS cache
(buta is running on a client machine), and I can't see anything on the
server end, either. The tape drive is in a library, so it's hard to tell
if the tape is streaming... I don't currently have enough disk space on
the machine to blow this through the disk cache, but I suppose that might
be worth a try.

Has anyone else seen large volumes take tremendously long times to dump?
Any advice? I'm only going to get more of these big volumes as time goes
on...

Thanks.
