Jackie,
I've been in manual mode many times when my accessor is broken. The drive
display will ask for a tape number and also display the home cell location.

Well we are going to do it . A disaster recovery. I have read till I
am blue and I think I have it down (on paper).
The one thing that puzzles me is we have a 3494 library with 4
drives.
If I make my device configuration say manual and I enter my restore
database command to PIT. How will I get the database tape into the 3494?
Will it just suck it in if I put it in the door?
