Hi,

lately there have been some questions about BACKINT licenses.

The licensing says:
One BACKINT/ADSM license is required for each system (node in an SP2)
with an (or multiple) ORACLE databases (SIDs) to be backed up.

In high availability configurations (HACMP, MSCS):
when only one database is active at any time - 1 license
when two systems normally operate with their own DB,
and in case of error one takes over the other - 2 licenses

Mirroring is just another copy of the same DB. So it does not add an extra
license.
If one disk pool is holding x independent databases (SIDs, mirrored or not)
accessed by x systems (one per DB), then you need x BACKINT/ADSM licenses.

Hope this clarifies.
