NEW TAPES????
What I read said it could write to the same tapes, it just can't write to a
tape containing the data in the older (128 track) format. That you had to
mark your existing tapes containing data as readonly and then all other
writes would occur to 'new' (meaning none of the tapes containing data)
tapes.
Betcha probably have to 'relabel' the tapes, though....
