Re: ADSM Offsite Tapes and ARCUS

We currently use ARCUS for offsite tape storage. All you need for each
tape is an external volume-series number, which is the barcode on the tape
if you're using robotics. ARCUS will put the tape in a numbered slot, but
that slot number if for their use only - all you need to know is the
barcode/volume-series number.

Subject: ADSM Offsite Tapes and ARCUS
Hi all,
Are any of you using ARCUS for tape vaulting? I have a customer that is
going to ADSM, but use ARCUS. They tell me that
ARCUS needs them to assign a slot number to each tape. Can ADSM assign a
slot number to DR Media? (Yes, they have DRM).
Or does someone have a script that can assign offsite tapes vault
numbers???
Any input is appreciated.
Thank You,
Don Caronna
