you caqn modify the number of semaphores into /etc/systems file of you Sun server .
I have an ADSM server install on a Sun (E450) and found same troubles than you .... please give me your feed back avbout performaces on you server during selective backups

Hi folks,

we installed ADSM client software on a solaris 7 box. If a backup is running
and we shutdown the oracle database, the database will not start a few
hours later because there are no more semaphores available.

Is there a way to restrict the usage of semaphores of ADSM or does anybody
know how much semaphores ADSM needs?
