You have definately been given wrong information - We are running ADSM
on OS/390 v2.7 - (Anybody else on this E.S.P. ?). Adsm version is 3.1.2.20.
I have not seen anything close to what you are getting in terms of restore
times.

Have a look at what the server is doing at the time of the restore. Is it
waiting
for tape mounts? This can severly impact the restore times you are
getting...

Just for the record our DB is 8Gig - 84% utilized and I'm getting better
figures
across a 64Kb Wan link!

Hope you come right with the bad restore performance.

Hi,

IBM told me today, that the reason for  our bad restore-performance (20
files /
1MB  in 20 -30 min) is the size of the ADSM DB.
The ADSM-DB is about 11 GB / 50 % used on OS/390 . ADSM-Server ; 3.1.2.14.


Does anybody have good restore performance and a ADSM-DB in the same size or
bigger.?

Does anybody know a max. size of ADSM-DB with good restore-performance.
