OS390/ max. size of ADSM-Database?

Hi,
IBM told me today, that the reason for our bad restore-performance (20 files /
1MB in 20 -30 min) is the size of the ADSM DB.
The ADSM-DB is about 11 GB / 50 % used on OS/390 . ADSM-Server ; 3.1.2.14.
Does anybody have good restore performance and a ADSM-DB in the same size or
bigger.?
Does anybody know a max. size of ADSM-DB with good restore-performance.
