Mauro,

Since the European Community has defined a kind of standard for this you do'nt
have to change your settings every year:

In /etc/environment on your AIX (NSM) box make sure to have
TZ=CET-1CEST-1,M3.5.0,M10.5.0/03

This means that in Europe we go from "Winter" to "Summer" time which is called
CEST (Central European SummerTime) on the last sunday in March, and we go to
"Winter" time called CET on the last Sunday of October. This is true at least
until 2002.

Leaving off the "M..." parts will make AIX change the timezones per default on
the dates used in the US.

BTW: isn't NSM a "black box" totally operated by IBM and you are not required to
look after it yourselve (big grin)?

Mit freundlichem Gruss/Best Regards

Michael Abel

Yes,

        I found it at the end. Although that means change it every year! and
find out when ... anyway this isn't the right place!

Thank you

Ciao Mauro
