Ok, I went back to PTF5 on SGI, as well as HP/UX and it works now.

I hope that IBM repairs that in future updates. That's an important
feature for us. Currently I have no solution for Linux, but currently
we do not have user homes on Linux (That will change somewhere in the 
future probably!).
