Re: Another Connect Agent question

No. I am running fixtest A. Fixtest A does not require to run under the
Exchange Site Services account. Fixtest A states requirements to be a member
of the local admin group. On one test machine where the default NT User
rights are in place it the backup works fine. However our Security group is
in the process of tuning the user rights assigned to local administators and
other local groups.
What I need to know is what actual NT User rights are required to backup and
restore an Exchange Database under the connect agent. That way the account
can do the job with the minimum required authority.

It needs to have the service running as the same NT account that is
defined
as the Exchange Service Account.
I have also noticed that to restore, you must actually LOG IN to the
server
as the Exchange Service Account's NT account.

Subject: Another Connect Agent question
I'm trying to ascertain which user rights the Connect Agent requires
in
order to backup and restore the Exchange Database.
The documentation for the fixtest says that it must be a member of
the local
admin group. In an effort to curb the power handed out to local
admins our
security team has removed the majority of the default user rights
associated
with the local admins group. Therefore I'm wondering specifically
which user
rights are required for the ADSM Exchange Connect Agent to function.
I'm still also seeking an answer to my previous question re: the
Connect
Agent returning an error level 0 after a backup failure.
Any connect agent developers out there with some ideas?
