I can add the following: Under

    AFS 3.4a + AIX 4.2.1, ADSM-AIX-client V3.1.0.3, AIX-ADSM-SERVER V3.1.1.5

1. exactly the same behaviour as described below applies for "backup" too
    having put VIRTUALMountpoint's into "dsm.sys"
    AND corresponding DOMAIN-lines into "dsm.opt".
2. Calling the Command-line client, e.g.
        dsmc rest -pick -ina file_space
showed up with the "pick"-window as expected
BUT within the GUI I always start with the root of the "file_space"
3. If I don't go down the buttons in the W95-manner, but use the
    GUI's "SEARCH"-icon, the popup-window shows the corresponding
"VIRTUALMountpoint", shortening the required search quite reasonably.
4. In any case I've got the impression, that the GUI-interface does MUCH
MORE "searching" than the Command-Line-Interface. Especially if You
have THOUSANDs of VIRTUALMountpoints, the GUI-Interface presents ALL
these VIRTUALMountpoints ( in my case its 15000 ) so an easy selection
can only be done via the "SEARCH"-icon ( see point 4. )
5. I don't know wether this is a GUI-interface feature/bug but it is at
least not consistent with the CL-interface.
So, some day it will be made consistent, IBM ?
