I've actually done this before with no problems.  I originally had a pair
of SP Wide nodes set up in an HACMP cluster for my Linux box, and for
various reasons, decommision the HACMP while retaining the dual attached
3590's and SSA disks.  I was able to successfully (on different disks. ;-)
switch a 3590 drive between two servers.  I was using V2 and had to delete
the drives, however, as opposed to marking them offline.  I couldn't tell
you how well that would work, however, as I haven't tried it.
