Thanks to everyone for your responses on ejecting offsite tapes from a
3494.

I realize that I have to update the access of the volumes to 'offsite',
then eject them. The question is whether anyone has an automated method of
ejecting them after the access is updated. Can anyone provide me with a
script that constructs a list of the volumes, ejects the volumes, then
prints the list - maybe?

                    Thanks again,

                    Ginny

Subject: Ejecting Offsite Tapes from 3494

Hi all,
We have recently set up a second ADSM server on AIX (level 3.1.2.0)
utilizing a 3494 with 4 drives for backup. We have a large MVS server
backing up to STK silos (wherein lies ALL of my ADSM and hardware
experience). I am trying to set up an automated process for ejecting
offsite copypool tapes from the 3494. I know someone out there must be
doing this. Any help would be appreciated,

                         Ginny
