We run ADSM V2.1.5.13, STK 9710 via ACSLS, DLT 7000 drives.

I think it depends on whether you are talking about ADSM processing time or
about the actual tape mount time.

If I trigger a MOVE DATA, for example, or an AUDIT, or something else that
needs an output tape immediately., we usually get the tape MOUNTED in under
30 seconds.
I seldom see any significant delays, unless ADSM is very busy with a lot of
other mounts pending.

But on the other hand, ADSM cannot send data to the mounted tape until the
drive sets up and tensions/positions the tape and signals READY. This can
take 3 minutes on a DLT7000 drive.

So it depends on whether you are talking about the time required to get the
robot arm to move, or the time for data to actually start flowing to the
tape.....
