We have had the same error show up on two of our 3570/B02 libraries
recently. A tape is dismounted, but the 3570 drive still thinks it's
there. A "q mount" shows nothing, but we're unable to do anything with
that volume, or reference that drive. Another process, such as
reclamation, throws the following messages. Has anyone seen this one?
(We're running ADSM 3.1 on an AIX 4.2 RS/6000.)

12/21/1998 12:11:32 ANR8779E Unable to open drive /dev/rmt3, error number=46.

Refer
to Appendix B in the 'Messages' manual for recommended

12/21/1998 12:11:32 ANR8358E Audit operation is required for library
3570LIB2.
12/21/1998 12:11:32 ANR8834E Library volume 20E0FB is still present in
library
3570LIB2 drive DRIVE21 (/dev/rmt3), and must be removed
                      manually.

(It won't run an AUDIT when it's in this state...)
