The steps outlined above would cause the ADSM database to forget where it put
the real backups. They would not, in and of themselves, overwrite the real
backups. Each of the real backups would actually get overwritten when the tape
it was on was reused. That would happen sometime after the tape was cleared by
either reclamation or the expiration of all the backups on it.

This raises another point: there may already be old backup versions of the
sensative file that the ADSM database has forgotten about but which have not
been overwritten.
