Yes, PASSWORDACCESS GENERATE is required to use the Web Client.

If you have not seen it yet, there is information on running the
Web Client in the latest "Using the Microsoft Windows Backup-
Archive Client" manual, included with the PTF.

Hi ADSM-ers!
When I start the 3.1.06 ADSM Web Client on a Windows 95 workstation I
receive the following messages in the dsmerror.log:

(dsmagent) ANS1835E PASSWORDACCESS is GENERATE, but password needed for
server 'ADSM'.
(dsmagent) Either the password is not stored locally, or it was changed at
the server.
(dsmagent) ANS1835E PASSWORDACCESS is GENERATE, but password needed for
server 'ADSM'.

(dsmagent) Authentication failure

Is PASSWORDACCESS=GENERATE a requirement for using the Web Client?
Kindest regards,
Eric van Loon
