Some minutes ago I recognized following situation:

If one uses an alternative optfile using the -optfile=<optfilename> and
this option file contains errors (wrong parameter names,..), one will
get follwing error message:

ANS1838E Error opening user specified options file '<optfilename>' .

If there is a dsm.opt, adsm will use it. Otherwise ans1035s is shown.
I renamed the errorneous file to dsm.opt, corrected the errors and
renamed it again.

Maybe this helps someone.
