Yes, I already sent a note to the list about this. I have also opened an
incident with IBM, tho it hasn't reached the APAR stage yet. We get this
line at every use of the "dsmc archive" command. Since it does NOT indicate
an error, it should NOT be in dsmerror.log. It can be particularly annoying
when one archives in a directory where one does not have write permission,
as ADSM then signals an error that it cannot write into the error log -- to
which it should not be writing in the first place. The archival seems to
work anyway, tho the user is left in some confusion about the matter.

Please let me know if you get any helpful response from IBM. Thanks in
advance.

|Has anybody seen the following error (?) message in their
|dsmerror.log file:
|
| 11/18/98 10:23:19 tcaPath is >/usr/bin/dsmtca<.
|
|I don't know if this is related to the
|/etc/adsm/SpaceMan/config/dsmmigfstab problem that we're
|encountering at PTF5 of the Irix client, but it does seem that
|this is a new message since upgrading to PTF5.
