The dsmserv.opt had the correct entry and I was using the correct address.
Anyway, I ran "dsmserv runfile dsmserv.idl" as you suggested and it fixed
my problem.

| I'm currently evaluating the ADSM v3.1 on AIX 4.1 platform and need

| interface but somehow I can't connect to the server any more.
