I/O error on 3570 tape

Hi ADSM-ers!
I have got a 3570 tape on which ADSM reported I/O errors. I successfully
moved al the data from this volume, it's empty (and read-only) now.
What should I do next? The tape is just a few months old. Is there some
kind of (AIX) utility I can use to reformat the tape?
