Folks,
I have the following environment:
Solaris v.2.5.1
ADSM Server for Solaris v.3.1.2.0
Qualstar TLS-46120 with 4 drives SONY SDX-300C
To setup this environment, I executed the following commands:
def library robo libtype=scsi device=/dev/rmt/5lb
def drive robo drive1 device=/dev/rmt/7mt element=500
def drive robo drive2 device=/dev/rmt/8mt element=501
def drive robo drive3 device=/dev/rmt/9mt element=502
def drive robo drive4 device=/dev/rmt/10mt element=503
def devclass aitclass devtype=8mm format=aitc library=robo
mountlimit=drives
Until now, everything works fine.
But, when I execute the command "label libvol robo checkin=scratch
search=yes labelsource=prompt" and the elevator put the tape inside the
drive, I receive the following error:
ANR8302E I/O Error on drive DRIVE1 (/dev/rmt/7mt) (OP=SETMODE, CC=207,
KEY=FF, ASC=FF, ASCQ=FF, SENSE=**NONE**, Description=device is not in a
state capable of performing request.)
The command don't work.
Anyone can help to solve this problem ???

This problem is fixed in PTF2 for V3.1.2.0. In the meantime, you can use
dsmlabel instead - the tape label code is there for this device support in
dsmlabel.
