Hi!
I keep getting the following errors in the ADSM Server activity log, and
although I checked the error codes, it appears these codes are not in the
documentation. I think we got a problem with either the 3570-B12 unit or the
Adaptec AHA-2944UW differential SCSI card that is in the IBM PC server that
runs ADSM server. But I'd like a more detailed explanation. This unit is giving
me a stack of write errors - then when it gets an error it switches the tape to
read-only - we run out of tapes, backups fail, no DBB tapes are generated, and
everyone gets all upset and managers begin to ask difficult questions. We also
get about three to four lost VCR errors per week, which fouls my mood
considerably 'cos I thought things should be a little more reliable than what
they are. I hope it all ties into the SCSI errors I am getting, but I'd like to
know if anyone else gets this type of problem. IBM, I know you are listening
in, please tell me what the below errors mean.. please. :)
The errors are:-
ANR8302E I/O error on DRIVE0(MT1.0.0.0) (OP=LOCATE, CC=205, KEY=FF, ASC=FF,
ASCQ=FF, SENSE=**NONE**, Description=SCSI Adapter Failure)
ANR8302E I/O error on DRIVE1(MT2.0.0.0) (OP=WRITE, CC=210, KEY=06, ASC=29,
ASCQ=00,
SENSE=71.00.06.00.00.00.00.48.00.00.00.00.29.00.F5.0B.C0.07.00.20.00.05.01.91.00.26.00.00.00.00.0A.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.05.5C.CB.00.D1.95.38.0
What do these numbers mean ?????????????????
