ok  the setup is:
AIX 4.1, STK 9710, ADSM V2.1, and DLT 4000s
i'm moving to DLT 7000's the library is on ACSLS my tapes are defined as

my understanding is that IF i remove the 4000s and the 7000s go into the
exact same place (scsi ids same) then all i have to do is a

update devclass DLTCLASS format=drive

then make readonly any tapes that where writeable (untill data is moved off
 them).
any full tapes just wait untill reclimation cleans them up.


please correct me if i'm wrong or give me any hints that might make this
any easier ;-)
anything i need to do to the aix&pains server?
