Hopefully you can get someone else to confirm this, but if I remember
correctly, IPFX is used along with Motif for the GUI interface in V3 (and
probably for the EZADSM gui stuff, which we don't use.)

I think if you are just installing the server code on this host and you are
comfortable with the command line interface, or you do your administrative
tasks from another machine (e.g., a Win95 PC) that you can do without IPFX.

When you try running the SMIT install, I think you will get an error about
IPFX when you select the utilities file set, but not the base filesets.
