library device for 3570/75
1998-09-29 08:43:03
I'm just reading the AIX Quick Start guide (third edition from
September 98). There's still described the /dev/rmtx.smc that
is to be used for 3570 and 3575 libraries.
Someone mentioned earlier that this is a mistake and one must
use the /dev/smcx instead. We're running our 3575 with /dev/rmt0.smc
for a few months now without any problems. Do we have to change
the library device? Can we do this without any consequences for
the ADSM server software?
